Due to the fact that there are over 4,000 products in the OARnet VMware portfolio, a complete price list is no longer published. You may download a list of commonly requested products here; however, only a formal quote can confirm the most up-to-date pricing.

As a reminder, once licenses are purchased, they are non-returnable; therefore, we encourage you to reach out to your VMware Technical Account Manager (TAM) to discuss your environment and/or Carahsoft to obtain a formal quote prior to purchase.

Product Details

Support & Subscription (SnS) Terms

OARnet clients receive VMware’s Production-level Support & Subscription (SnS), the highest level of support, at no additional cost. OARnet customers may select the renewal period that best accommodates their needs: 1-, 2-, or 3-year maintenance terms are available for perpetual licenses; and 1- to 5-year terms are available for SaaS products. VMware Education

VMware Education provides training and certification programs to build your knowledge and expertise. For more information, please log in to mylearn.vmware.com.

PSOs

Professional Service Credits (PSOs) are available at discounted pricing to acquire VMware training, consulting services and VMWare Explore (formerly VMworld) registration. The consulting services and training may come from either VMware directly or a partner who accepts PSO credits as payment. An additional benefit is that PSO credits purchased through OARnet only expire upon consumption.

Direct Partner Option

This program, managed by Carahsoft, enables OARnet clients to procure VMware perpetual and SaaS Software and Services, including PSO credits, through a certified partner at OARnet rates. This option can simplify the ordering process for OARnet customers wanting to combine VMware with other hardware, training, consulting or software purchases.

Currently, all SaaS/subscription renewals must be procured through an authorized partner. Perpetual renewals are purchased through OARnet directly (see section on Sole Source Renewals)

Carahsoft certifies that all dealers participating in this contract have agreed that their performance will be in accordance with all terms and conditions of the OARnet Carahsoft-Partner contract.

VMware Technical Account Managers (TAMs)

VMware dedicated TAMs are full-time cross-functional advisors who work with your organization to develop a comprehensive understanding of your business objectives to assist with properly licensing your VMware environment. OARnet customers receive VMware Technical Account Manager support at no additional cost. VMware TAMs deliver access to VMware experts and tools to help optimize the performance of your implementation. This service includes complimentary VMware health analysis, best practice review, product information, upgrade planning, support escalations, VMware portal permissions and monthly newsletter.
