OARnet enables research and education in Ohio with its advanced network, designed to empower researchers to be competitive as they pursue the imagined and make it a reality.
Supporting, enabling, collaborating, and partnering with Ohio's research community is at the foundation of OARnet. OARnet delivers technology-based solutions across Ohio, including cyberinfrastructure, data networking, cybersecurity, and network measurement and monitoring. As Ohio's Internet2 Connector, OARnet enables researchers to connect with potential partners around the state, country, and the world to explore new applications and technologies to meet the academic, business, and industry needs within Ohio and beyond. OARnet encourages these partnerships to pursue research funding from various sources, including Third Frontier, National Science Foundation and other federal grant programs. OARnet also engages with Research and Education Networks in other states, Internet2, ESnet, PacificWave, and national organizations like The Quilt, to increase Ohio's prominence in technology-based research innovation and development.
