OCDE Conference Brings Howard Rheingold to Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- January 27, 2004 -- Howard Rheingold, one of the world's foremost authorities on the social impact of the Internet and digital technologies, will be the keynote speaker at the Ohio Commons for Digital Education 2004 - The Convergence of Libraries, Learning & Technology Conference, March 7-9 in Columbus, Ohio. On Monday, March 8, Rheingold will address the theme of the conference--the convergence of libraries, learning and technology--using his own research and unique point of view.

Rheingold was the editor of The Whole Earth Review, the Millennium Whole Earth Catalog, and founding executive editor of HotWired webzine. He is the author of several innovative books, including Smart Mobs: The Next Social Revolution, The Virtual Community, and Tools for Thought.
