As we celebrate 35 years, I am pleased to share OARnet’s 2022-23 fiscal year annual report, which highlights our impact on the communities we serve as well as major initiatives underway that benefit the State of Ohio. In this year’s report you will learn more about:
- How the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund (GEER) program, now complete, helped higher education institutions navigate the pandemic and advance their technology initiatives.
- Efforts to upgrade Ohio’s K-12 school districts to 100 Gigabits per second (Gbps) capabilities to meet the greater demand for online learning, now complete.
- Collaborations with CyberOhio on new cybersecurity initiatives designed to enhance and protect local and state government agencies.
As you will find in our fiscal year statistics snapshot, OARnet continues to supply more bandwidth for our clients’ growing needs while providing remarkable cost savings for our services. Through the aggregate purchasing power of OARnet, our clients saved an estimated $41 million in costs in FY23.
In addition to perusing the annual report, I invite you to look back at 35 years of impact and innovation in a special video created to mark the occasion.
