Faaress Parham

Cybersecurity Architect

Faaress Parham serves as OARnet's cybersecurity architect. In this role, he ensures the integrity of OARnet, Ohio’s statewide network backbone, to maintain the connectivity relied upon every day by the state’s higher education, K-12 education, state and local government, public broadcasting, health care and research communities. Working with internal and external partners, Parham evaluates relevant security services and aggregation purchasing for OARnet and members.
 
Prior to joining OARnet, Parham worked for Rollins College and the University of Akron, and also served as a cyber operations officer in the United States Army. Parham earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from the University of Akron and a master’s degree in cybersecurity from Liberty University. He currently holds the GIAC GCIA, GPEN, and CISSP certifications.
